Here are a few VERY IMPORTANT things to me in the use of this software:
1. Just like a paper book…..I can highlight, underline, insert notes and even better, clip notes form book pages that are all searchable.
2. The books are licensed. If my house burned down today w/ my laptop, my home computer and my iPhone (You can install on two computers and use also on your iphone), I would simply get on the web, log in to my account and download my base package…….the software would unlock all my licenses automatically!
3. The search capability is amazing. It searches my whole library in seconds!
4. Many of my Bibles and books are directly available on my iPhone for free (my license covers use on the iPhone)
5. I carry my library along with me all the time……it saves shelf space.
6. THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT TO ME: I never rely on one particular book, author, translation, etc. I always look at a cross section of works…..I look at a variety of commentaries, lexicons, and translations to get a good view of a meaning. In doing this, if a thought is “out there” or “off base” it will often rise to the surface as will the true meanings. Logos makes this standard FAST and EASY. I can look at a good cross section of scholarly thought in an instant !

Q: Can I purchase one Logos 4 library package then upgrade later to a higher package?
A: YES. I started with the Leaders Library, a year later upgraded to the Scholars library and made payments for a year, when paid for I upgraded to Scholars Silver and once that is paid for, next year will upgrade to the Scholars Silver. When you register your software you get a username password that goes tou your own Logos page showing all your purchases, pre-pub orders (orders for books being converted to Logos offered at a preorder discount), as well as other info.
Q: Can you add modules; books, studies, resources individually?
A: YES. I purchase most of my books as prepubs (pre pubs are offered at a discount). Additionally, There are thousands of books that are available. I would note this, I started 7-8 myears ago with another popular Bible study software program. Not a bad program, but dollar for dollar, Logos towers over it in scholarly content and use. There are very few new books avilable, and not on a regular basis. However, what few they do have, are fairly cheap.
Logos books are close in price to the original print copy, yet in many cases there is still hundreds of dollars in savings (especial for set’s). The avialablilty of books is astounding! And again……you purchase a license that you forever own. I just purchased the Anchor Bible Dictionary set (6 volumes at Books-a-million, $ 534.60) from Logos (regular Logos price is $269.95) on a “12 days of Logos” Christmas sale for $189.95! AND………It’s available on my iPhone!!!!!! Honestly, not all books are this deeply discounted. Here are some other books I have purchased recently to compare with:
